![]() ![]() Q: Do you know if partitioning will affect future upgrades of the Zabbix server or DB?Ī: No, it won’t. ![]() And there's a fun comment at the bottom related to my question: Has anyone done this? If so, should I simply proceed and mysql smartly handles the partitions?ĮDIT: Actually, I just found an article on your site describing exactly what I'm concerned about. But that seems silly, and time/disk consuming. I considered "un-partitioning," running the primary key scripts, then re-partitioning. Well, being that I'm the closest thing we have to a DBA and I don't know how to do it, I'm hoping Reddit might help. However, the official Zabbix upgrade process says "If your database uses partitions, contact your DB administrator or Zabbix support team for help" In 5.0 I created stored procedures to partition history and trends (and associated tables) using a daily cron to avoid housekeeping issues ( Link to How-To). For step 6.b, any advice on performing the migration to primary keys when table partitioning is being done? ![]()
